Owl and Stars 018 / 365
This picture took five hours of work. LOL. Kevin and I were eating dinner and we were talking about what my picture of the day should be and I said I'd like to photograph my owl lamp with stars in the background. He thought it was a great idea. So we took a piece of black foam core and some old Christmas lights we had in the garage and used an x-acto knife and made a star field. It was fun, but it was A LOT OF WORK! It took four hours! We used 900 bulbs and we could have used more but that was all we had. After getting everything ready, I only had 15 minutes to shoot the image and get it uploaded to Facebook. This picture is straight out of the camera with no editing. I used a Lensbaby Scout with a double glass optic and a star aperture.
